Ashe Baileigh’s original one-act play has been selected as a semi-finalist in the Words on Stage Contest! This contest is a collaboration between the OSU Center for Poets and Writers, and Tulsa’s own American Theatre company. This emotionally charged meta-play dives into the messy beauty of lesbian heartbreak, blurring the line between art and real life with biting wit and unexpected tenderness. With it being Ashe’s first venture in play writing in years, she is incredibly excited for the opportunity to have her work read aloud.
Join Ashe and the other Words on Stage semi-finalists for a special staged reading, where audiences will hear excerpts from Ashe’s piece alongside nine other standout plays, and then cast their votes to decide which three get fully produced by ATC.
Come have a drink, feel things, and support queer theatre in Tulsa.
